Bushkill Blades is a one-man-show operated by Veteran Bladesmith Dan Altavilla. All knives are made entirely by hand at the Sugar Mountain Forge in Bushkill, PA.

 

Production models are available with a wide array of customizable options. Alternatively, full-on custom builds may be requested if you have a specific design in mind.

 

I believe in testing my blades thoroughly. In order for testing to have any merit, heat treatment must be performed by the smith in order for vital information to be processed.  I never utilize third-party heat treatment services. My clients expect a knife that has been individually heat-treated by a professional, and that is what I provide.

Automated processes have no place in my work. It is my promise to my clients that I never use CNC, Waterjet, third-party heat treatment or any other automated process.
